Envision Your Pathway
Founded in July 2020 as a nonprofit social enterprise, Envision Your Pathway is an education and youth development program which provides young people with a holistic approach to skills development, civic engagement, and self-efficacy. The comprehensive and thematic program design builds and strengthens dynamic, transferable skills with opportunities for reflection, discussion, and practice, as well as pipelines for ongoing development.
At Envision Your Pathway, our mission is to meet youth where they are and propel them forward by providing a holistic, enriching program with connections to opportunities.
We believe that all youth should feel confident and empowered to pursue a pathway that is true to their own goals, values, and brand. But first, we must provide them with the guidance, support, resources, education, and pathways to get there. The EYP Program does exactly that.
EYP Core Curriculum – Skills to Empower and Propel include:
-Communication
-Negotiation
-Project Management
-Personal Brand
-Entrepreneurship
EYP Cohort: Youth Build Dynamic Skills and Community
In a cohort model led by EYP staff, youth attend workshops, build skills, and research, design, and implement a civic engagement initiative, all while earning a stipend. Post-program, youth may pursue their desired education or career pathways, or choose to continue in EYP pipelines for leadership and entrepreneurship.
Enrichment and Essential Skills
Additional workshops on financial education, credit, business, mindfulness, stress management, nutrition, etc. support youth persistence amidst those ongoing barriers that we know have been further exacerbated during COVID.
Youth-Led and Designed Civic Engagement Initiative
As the capstone to the program, youth design and implement a civic engagement initiative as an opportunity to practice the skills gained in the program and build self-efficacy. These opportunities for impact focus on projects supporting education, equity, and thriving communities.
